Rabbits can be vaccinated against these life threatening diseases.
Myxomatosis
Viral haemorrhagic disease (VHD).
A baby rabbit can be vaccinated from 6 weeks of age against Myxomatosis.
A second vaccine at the age of 10 weeks old can be given for (VHD).
An adult rabbit can be vaccinated at any stage of age but there should be 2 weeks aparts between these two separate vaccines.
Myxomatosis is a disease caused by a type of pox virus, originally imported into France to control the growing population or wild rabbits.
The viral disease accidentally spread to England and then into other countries.
Viral Haemorrhagic Disease (VHD).
(VHD) is also a virus disease, this virus was first found in China
in 1984 and rapidly spread to Europe and other countries.
